Where to Stay in Hong Kong: Bay Bridge Hong Kong by Hotel G – Hotel Review
It’s great to be right in the center of things when you go to a new city, but sometimes, especially if you’ve been on the go for a while, it’s nice to find somewhere that you feel you can still be part of everything but also take a step back from all the hustle and bustle. This is where Bay Bridge Hong Kong fits in beautifully.
More of a hostel vibe when you walk in but with the rooms and amenities of a hotel it is based right on the edge of the water, giving beautiful views overlooking the South China Sea. It, therefore, seems like a getaway from the busyness of Hong Kong but their complimentary shuttle bus delivers you to and from the nearest MTR station, allowing you easy access into the city- the perfect spot whether you’re in for a quick weekend or 5 days in Hong Kong.
One the best reasons that Bay Bridge Hong Kong is where you should stay in Hong Kong is because every room has its own private bathroom and kitchenette, so if you decide you want to cook for yourself for a night, everything you could need is available, there is a good supermarket right beside where the shuttle bus pick up is.
They do also have a restaurant on site where you can enjoy a wide selection of dishes while overlooking the bay. The staff at reception will help you organize any trips or sightseeing you wish to do while in Hong Kong, there are always plenty of staff around, all friendly and full of helpful information. Like other parts of Asia, knowing how to navigate the city is key in the quest to enjoy your time there, and have friendly and knowledgeable staff goes a long way.
One of the best features was the 24-hour gym. The treadmills overlooking the bay and offering beautiful views any time of the day or night make it that little bit easier to run off any overindulgence in dim sum. If running or using the gym equipment isn’t your style then they do also have a steam room to relax in.
Noted features:
Anchor’s Seafood and Beerhouse.
The views from the restaurant at Bay Bridge Hong Kong are enough to make you want to chill out here for the buffet breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is a laid-back vibe to this restaurant albeit the staff are very attentive and also offer a wide range of a la carte dishes.
Laundry and ironing room.
Perfect if you have been travelling for a while or just need to iron out any hastily thrown in clothes, this is a fully self-service laundry room with irons and ironing boards, they also provide a handy laundry tote bag in your room so you can carry your clothes down discreetly.
The Leisure Space.
This is where the hotel meets that great area between hostel and hotel. Though you have complete privacy in your own room the living space is where fellow travellers hang out to read, use their computers or chit-chat. Great if you want to meet other like-minded souls and one of the reason for the Bay Bridge Hong Kong is where to stay in Hong Kong.
