Hotel Review: Ramses Hilton in Cairo, Egypt
Most people aren’t quite sure where to stay when they head to Cairo. The city is full of energy, and crowds, and finding a central tranquil space to call your own in the hustle and bustle all of a sudden becomes a priority. If you’re looking for comfort overlooking the Nile, then the Ramses Hilton is for you. We had the pleasure of staying here for 4 days, and used the hotel as a hub for our activities out of town.
Centrally located, the hotel is right in the core, and only moments away from Tahrir Square, National Museum and downtown shopping center. Should you wish to visit the Islamic district, or the bazaar, they are only a quick taxi ride away.
Being an Hilton Honours Member automatically upgrades you to a executive levels, and includes breakfast. You will also have access to the pool which is a welcome reprieve on hot summer days.
Be sure to check out the amazing Maharaja restaurant if you’re in the mood for Indian food. Although the breakfast buffet (a variety of hot and cold options), and the executive lounge for happy hour are great options for meals as well. The hotel central location makes it really easy to pop out and grab lunch.
The customer service at the hotel is impeccable. The front desk staff went above and beyond to cater our every whim. The onsite bank is also a nice perk.
While wifi is available at Ramses Hilton, it is on the pricey end. This can get a bit tricky if you’re attempting to do work while in Cairo.
The Ramses Hilton, while not as modern as some of the other options around, does ensure that they provide a comfortable, inviting place to stay- and that’s all we can ask for.
Darling Escapes was a guest for Ramses Hilton, but as always, the opinions stated above are our own.
